The beginning beginning

It happened on a regular day. I awoke at 7.30am to feel a sense of gushing but the absence of contractions made me feel complacent. Anyway I took my time to take a shower, CHICKEN ESSENCE and breakfast of brownies and milk. AB woke at 9am and we headed to KPT for his breakfast. By the time we got to KK, it was time to be warded. A jab of oxytocin increased the contractions and by 12pm, the intensity was slowly rising.

Epidural? No no. The gasy help made me all numb and I thought I was suffering from anxiety attacks! It's funny that I couldn't seem to recall the labour pain, only the anxiety of Jonah popping out before Dr Tan Kim Teng arrived! The feeling of him wanting to come out but can't was quite unbearable! Boy was I glad when the nurses said I could start pushing! Huffs and puffs, a small trumpetee cry told me it was over. It was 5.01pm. When the nurses placed Jonah on my chest, the feeling was overwhelming. I still couldn't believed that I was a Mummy and my precious little one had arrived! I was floating during next few moments due to the numbing gas while the doc stitched me up. Thank God for a smooth and short delivery.

The only 2 incidents of pain would be when the doc on duty tried to put me on drip. The needle was super long! The other was the local A for the episiotomy. Ouch! Other than that, I encourage mothers to go for natural birth.
